College CoD 2027 Season Reveal
10 seasons of College CoD
College CoD is back for its 10th competitive season. Nine seasons ago CCL started out as 6 teams competing in CoD: WW2. Now it's grown into a North America-wide battle to see who will reign victorious. Last season saw 8 teams qualify for LAN and duke it out in St. Louis, Missouri for the top spot. After 2 days of intense competition, the St. Clair Saints walked away champions. But that was last year. New year, new game, new opportunities for teams to rise. It all starts now.

FORMAT
During this last offseason, we sat down and chatted with several community members for feedback on formats from years past to continue evolving and try to fix a few problems that we've seen.
Please familiarize yourself with the College CoD 2027 Rulebook as changes have been made.
Regular Season
Regular season will continue with its geographical multi-region layout comprised of two conferences per region. However, which conference and division you are placed in your region will now be based on last year's results in a reverse snake draft. If a team did not compete last year, they will be slotted in following the placement of teams from the previous season. We believe this change will allow for more variety of competition and give teams the opportunity to play different teams in the regular season instead of a similar set year over year. Like previous seasons, divisions will play out a single round-robin before the divisional restructure will take the top half of each division and pair them into an upper division, and the bottom half teams into a lower division.
In years past, all that mattered was making top cut to secure your spot in Regional Playoffs, but in 2027 we are making a change that we think will create new opportunities for all teams involved. This season, the top 2 teams from each conference will automatically advance to the CCL Playoffs and are guaranteed a top 2 seed from their region.
Post Season
Conference Championships
The top 2 teams from each conference will compete in their Conference Championship in a single best-of-7 to determine who gets a top seed going into CCL Playoffs.
Regional Playoffs
The next 12 teams (3-14) from each conference (24 teams per Regional Playoff bracket) will compete for 4 spots in CCL Playoffs in a double elimination bracket. Regional Playoffs will take place from March 19th-21st.
CCL Playoffs
32 teams (16 auto-qualifying, 16 from Regional Playoffs) will battle it out in a double elimination bracket up to top 8. CCL Playoffs are scheduled for April 9th-11th.
We will continue to post reminders for these dates on our socials and in the Discord. Regional and CCL Playoff matches are not reschedulable. They will be played out to completion that weekend, so please make plans accordingly.
We will not be able to make any exceptions.
Local Area Network
Details are still being solidified, but rest assured the College CoD 2027 season will culminate in the best teams battling it out on LAN for the title of College CoD champion. More information to come soonTM.
