Intro
With Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon, College CoD is ready for one last hurrah for Vanguard! 8s tournaments have been highly requested, so we’re excited to announce the College CoD Pre-Season 8s event to celebrate the end of Vanguard. Students will register as individuals, and then captains will be voted on from the players that registered. Then, captains will draft their dream teams from the rest of the players and fight to take the $1,000 prize pool up for grabs.

Registration
Registration is open! Fill out the Player Registration form, and then captain voting will take place after registration closes.

Dates and Times
- September 16th, 2022

- October 4th, 2022
- Registration closes midday at 12:00pm ET.
- October 4th, 2022
- As soon as registration is closed, captain voting form will be sent via the 8s event Discord.
- October 6th, 2022
- Draft Day! Captains will take turns picking captains in a snake draft ordered based on # of votes received.
- October 7th, 2022
- Teams have one day to scrim with their new rosters if they want to!
- October 8th, 2022
- Day 1 of the Pre-Season 8s event starts at 1:00PM EST.
- Day 1 will be a group stage split up into groups of 4. 2 teams from each group move on!
- October 9th, 2022
- Day 2 of the Pre-Season 8s event starts at 1:00PM EST.
- Day 2 will be a bracket stage populated with 2 teams from each group.
- Format: A Group Stage with 4 groups of 4 teams into an 8 team Bracket Stage.

- Team Size: Teams of 4! No substitutes this time. Players who can't play will be replaced by players who weren’t drafted.

- Input is controller-only.
- This event will not be broadcasted, so matches will start at 1pm EST each day, and take place as previous matches are completed.
- Prize Pool: $1,000
